Belief - A leadership Lesson

Holidays ... Holidays... Those are days where you go wild and blind, do some thing wise and naughty.... Now I wonder how life would have been if people work for 365 days till they die, I have heard that there were just a handful of them... All I can ask from them” Give me some of your stamina and power”.. Human system can be compared with a computer, the more it works the older, wiser, sharper, and one day it stops working.... well if you get some virus it gets crashed as well..

Recently I went for bandwagon holiday, Nature is so mysterious and wild!!!... I went all out and so wild that one day I did not know the name of the hotel where I resided. Rather funny incident but quiet worthy of doing once in while. I visited almost all parts of south Karnataka, those mystique places, water flowing like honey, birds chirping as a bride, animal roaring at night oh what a sight. Oh lord it all starts and ends in those forests, people residing with utmost harmony with nature such an icing to these callous eyes.

While on holiday I noticed rather important lesson which I would like to share today, If you have ever heard of a place Called Dharmasthala. Dharmastala is considered as the sacred place for Hindu piligims, when I visited this place I can say there were almost 50000 people waiting for the lord Manjunath's Darshana (Its a Sacred Hindu word, people wait to see GOD and for his blessings).. While I was looking at this holy place with lot of respect and admiration about how people poured in here, sleep on the streets just to a get glimse of the god. I noticed a rather funny act, there was a family who drove Ranault Duster parked next to my car where I was sleeping.. Instead of sleeping in the car, they slept on the ground I felt amused by their behavior but I had no guts to ask them either. I m not such a believer in god, even though some times I think there is one.. I was aw-struck by the hospitality and the grandeur of that place....

There were couple of questions which arouse as I walked through those busy streets... Who is GOD? What is GOD? Why people are so crazy about GOD? What is the purpose of having a GOD?now I wonder if I can ever be able to answer these questions.. but First thing came to my mind when I thought about these questions is that .... “GOD IS A BELIEFE”.....

Now Considering that Lord Manjunatha was not a GOD and a mere Human, can we say that he is a great leader, who served and helped the society. Can we say that Lord Manjunath is a saviour of many.?

I would not be able to comment on these question. Considering that he is a great leader... lets talk about one quality which I think Is relevant for Leadership...People came to this place not because Lord Manjunath will Solve their problems rather they believe that Lord Manjunatha is going to help them to come out..

When you are leader the first and foremost thing you need is the belief in yourself, in your vision, thoughts, actions. Recently when I was presenting a group of people about Customer Service.. One of the Trainees posed a wonderful question? How can anyone build belief ...........

Firstly to have belief in oneself is to have confidence in one's own actions. Confidence is built over

the years its never built in a day or two.. A person to have belief needs to work every day believing that he does the best and always the best.. Hence when you do the best people will automatically believe you.. There isnt any secret to built confidence and belief in oneself.... “ Doing right things will get the right results, and right results make the right man”.......... Some one wisely said it once..... “ You can never be wrong when you do the right things”....

Once a leader has belief in himself then you must take such actions which helps the people to believe your vision.. In Dharmastala and all around Karnataka people tell tales about how Lord Manjunath is a great savior.. Likewise people must talk about your vision and actions which you took to lead people from nowhere to some where.. We are all in search of a better life, every second, everyday..
