It’s the most happening week for
Indians, Modiji travels to US. He must be sharing “Thepla” or “Kichdi”with the
premiers, how does brown bread taste with “Kichdi”? Jayalalitha “The ex-CM of Tamilnadu, the lady
once hailed the savoir of poor, has been sent to jail for 4 years. “Oh God,
what sort of world are we living in, what sort of leaders are we following”?
That brings us to some hard thinking about everyone, around us....
Modiji “the recent speech was
good “you are becoming the most iconic speaker of all time”. I doubt how much
your soul would say “Make in India”. What are we trying to make? Are we asking big companies and money
launderers to invest, exploit natural resources, suck the bloods of poor Indians,
and make them more sick & thin? Then UN to send us another report about malnourished
Indians, ask WHO for more money so that we can feed our people......
Modiji, your vision of India
needs little help!! “We Indians are,
more spiritual than human”. Look what happened to westerner, they searched
happiness in outer world; they lost happiness within and out. Day is not far,
when we will have one of our Kids going to school with a gun to shoot his
fellow students just because they insulted him.
I have a Billion dollar question for you Mr Premier will this change bring happiness to our people? Do factories, more employment, increase in per capita income, improved technology, better facilities bring happiness? Please contemplate Mr Modiji I will leave that job to your sensible intelligence to decide.
Recently while I was travelling from in North part of Karnataka explained it beautiful “When you think about the world more, the lesser world cares about you”. So stop thinking and starting adding value in anyways you can to keep things simpler, pursuiting happiness is a process of increasing awareness of yourself”. I don’t want to be spiritual in my blog but somehow I think spirituality is part of us..
leadership and spirituality shares lot many things in common...Both the leader and spiritualist are dreamers, hard to find, are very rare. Great leaders and honourable saints are hard to find! Nonetheless it’s hard to find a good human being. India has been a country which has given some of the greatest leaders and saints to the world; they are called as philosophers, intellects, leaders, and most importantly “Gurus”. Buddha “The greatest of all who changed the way people think and lead life, Mahavir and list goes on.....
Out of all these leaders, one man
took a radical way, Mark twain said it nicely “There were two roads in the
wood, and I, I took the took less travelled by”.. I am talking about one those “Spiritual
Gurus, who took the road less travelled, well I do not have all the knowledge
to talk about his philosophy, I simply can say I am not intellectually fit!.
Recently I visited a Paan Shop, I
was appalled and amused, when I saw the “Paanwala”reading a book of “OSHO”(
Knowledge seekers are everywhere, just don’t judge a person). Out of curiosity
I borrowed the book so that I can gather some “Wisdom” from so called Radical
Guru. While I was flipping through the pages, all of which I thought made lot
of sense. I thought why not share these valuable wisdom with you all... These
are not the exact words from “OSHO” if you find something is not right it is me
to be blamed. I respect the great Guru for what he has left a legacy and a
wonderful philosophy to follow.
Know thyself:
“You cannot transcend what you don’t know, to go beyond yourself, you
must know yourself”... Sir Nisargadatta Maharaj
In the book, ÖSHO Maharaja narrates
a superb story, here it is..
There was a Marwari business man was in love with an actress, it is quiet unnatural for a Marwadi business marrying an actress, in real world it does happen but its quiet a miracle. The moment he was in love he decided that he wanted to marry her, but he had doubts about the character of the actress. So he contacted a secret service agency and asked them to give him a character report after watching and following the actress for some days. Which would help Marwadi Business man to make up his mind whether to marry her or not.
With the strict instruction of
keeping these in top secret, secret service agency nominated one of the most
known agents to do the job. The agent followed her, watched and observed every
movement of the actress and after some days he sent a report to Marwari
business man which read “ After closely monitoring, following and observing the
various activities of this actress, we are made to believe to that this actress
has never faltered, she is cultured yet maintains herself with utmost integrity
and has no relationship (either love or any other) with any other person,
however we have also observed that lately she has been moving around with one Marwari
Business man!!
Alas that business was none other than same Marwari business man who
was in love and wanted to marry the actress. “When you don’t trust yourself how
can you trust others”.
Our eyes can only see others;
hands can only touch others, our mind can only think about others. But we never
spend time knowing about ourselves. It’s like the darkness beneath the candle
light, which can brighten the whole world but not within on itself.
As a leader we must and should
know ourselves well, you are not what others are, and what others think you
are.. You are what you are... your values and principles are like the candle
light which never gets lost. It doesn’t matter what you know about others, the
science, technology and art of dealing with people but all this knowledge will
never help if you don’t know yourself.
Leading is having a great vision,
when you know yourself a great vision appears like the light in the darkness.
You are the always alone, your followers can only join in the journey but they
are not yours, they are not your slaves, you are only yours.. The only way to not to lose yourself is to
know yourself. Do never look back, never around there is no one, you lead the
way there is no better friend than you!.. “You are your own enemy and the best
friend”.
When I say know thyself “Understanding
your limitation”. If I use Sean Barnes words” There are many things you cannot do, but there are many which you can”.
So concentrate on things which you can do... Remember, there are times when
you just cannot change a thing... you might feel frustrated but being a leader
is knowing the limitation of what you can and what you cannot.
Knowing yourself, will help you find ways by
which you can add value to the people. A leader’s most important job is to
ensure you add value to people life, to help people attain their dream.
Know thyself “means knowing both
weakness and strengths”. Looking at strengths and building your character
around them. This is the power of knowing yourself! There exists the strength!
Knowing the truth and the reality, knowing the challenges and knowing the best
solution to overcome.
I would like to End this blog with the thoughts of Socrates another great philosopher and an intellect “I myself know nothing, except just a little, enough to extract an argument from another man who is wise and to receive it fairly”.
Blessed learner, I hope you have learned as much I as did while writing and exploring.... Until we meet next time... May learning Karma be with you... Happy learning.
